Jeff is a native of Roanoke, VA. His parents noticed his apitiude for music when he was just three years old. Jeff's Mother always had music playing in the home. Being a teenager in the 1950's, she enjoyed listening to her large collection of 45rpms, going to sock hops and Elvis concerts with her friends. The music continued to play in their young home and Jeff walked around the house constantly strumming on a ukulele. That was the beginning of his great love of stringed instruments. Jeff began taking piano lessons at the age of eight, and picked up the guitar when he was twelve. In six months he was traveling and performing with a local band every weekend and was with them for two years. When he was sixteen, the Pedal Steel Guitar became an additional interest and fascination. In 1979 Jeff was a founding member of the group, The Believers that later became nationally known as The Pfeifers. He recorded seven albums and traveled for five years with them throughout the U.S., Mexico and South America. Jeff has continued to play for individuals and on recording, along with writing songs and producing jingles for Radio in his home studio. His songs have been recorded and performed by himself, The Belivers, The Pfeifers, 3rd Street and Stone Canyon amoung others. Jeff's musical influences are many and come from every style. His favorite guitarist are Jimmy Page, George Hariision, Jeff Beck, Larry Carlton, Phil Keaggy, Buddy Emmons, and Lloyd Green. Jeff co-founded Stone Canyon in 2006 and loves what he is doing. "We truly get to perform some of the best music ever written." "We love people and love sharing the music!" Jeff is happily married to his lovely wife and they have three beautiful children.
